Story draft for the Baby Mo book
Who Created Me?

In front of the mirror, Baby Mo asks, "Umi, who made me?" So they play "body explorer" — discovering how amazing Allah's creation is.
That morning Baby Mo stood in front of the mirror, tilting his head left and right. "Umi," he asked, "who made me? My eyes, my hands, all of it?"
Umi knelt behind him, looking into the mirror too. "Allah, dear. Allah created you in the very best form. Want to see how amazing Allah's work is? Let's play body explorer!"
"Body explorer?" Baby Mo's eyes sparkled.
"Station one: eyes." Umi covered her own eyes with her hands. "Close your eyes. It's dark, right? Now open them." Baby Mo opened his eyes, and the world was full of colour again. "Allah gave you eyes to see all this beauty."
"Station two: ears." Umi whispered very softly, "Baby Mo loves Umi." Baby Mo giggled — he heard it! "Allah gave you ears to hear loving words."
"Station three: hands." Baby Mo wiggled all ten fingers, then held a cup, then hugged Umi tight. "Allah gave you hands to work and to hug."
"Last station," said Umi, pressing Baby Mo's hand to his chest. Thump… thump… thump… "A little heart that beats without you ever telling it to. Even while you sleep, it keeps working. Only Allah can make something that wonderful."
Baby Mo stared at his reflection in awe, as if meeting himself for the first time. "Wow… I'm made by Allah."
"Yes, dear. And because Allah made you with such love, we thank Him by taking care of ourselves and using ourselves for good."
That night, before sleep, Baby Mo whispered, "Thank you, Allah, for making me."
Allah created you in the best of forms — so be grateful.
Now, play body explorer with your little one: point to eyes, ears, hands, and chest, then say, "Thank you, Allah." 👀👂✋💓
