Story draft for the Baby Mo book
A Bowl of Soup for the Pedicab Driver

Heavy rain fell. Baby Mo and Baby Ais saw a pedicab driver sheltering alone outside their house, soaked and shivering.
Heavy rain fell that afternoon. Baby Mo and Baby Ais saw a pedicab driver shivering outside.
"Umi, that man is cold," said Baby Ais.
Umi was cooking warm soup. Baby Mo tugged her sleeve. "Can we give some to him?"
Umi poured soup into a small tin. "Who wants to bring it?"
"Both of us!"
They ran out under Abi's umbrella. "Sir, this is warm soup," said Baby Mo.
The pedicab driver was startled. His eyes welled up. "Thank you so much, little ones."
Baby Mo and Baby Ais watched him eat with a big smile. They smiled too.
That night Baby Mo told Baby Ais, "Next time it rains, let's give again, okay?"
Your smile to your brother is an act of charity.
Now, help your little one notice people working outside in rain or heat, and give even something small. โ
