Why Should I Share?

Baby Mo

Baby Mo has two biscuits and doesn't want to share. But a little experiment teaches him a secret: happiness shared only grows.

Baby Mo clutched two chocolate biscuits tight to his chest. Baby Ais watched him with big, hopeful eyes.

"These are mine," Baby Mo said quickly. "All of them."

Umi didn't scold him. Instead she sat down and said, "Baby Mo, I have a fun experiment. Want to try?"

Baby Mo was curious. "What experiment?"

"Eat one biscuit by yourself, over in that corner. Then notice: how happy do you feel?"

Baby Mo went to the corner and ate one biscuit. Tasty… but lonely. Baby Ais just watched from afar. Somehow, the biscuit felt less sweet.

"Now," Umi said gently, "the other one β€” try splitting it in half with Baby Ais. Then notice again."

Baby Mo hesitated a moment. Then he snapped his last biscuit β€” crack! β€” and gave half to Baby Ais.

Baby Ais's face lit up at once. "Tank you, broder!" she cried, then hugged Baby Mo. They munched together, looked at each other, and laughed.

And… how strange. This half a biscuit tasted far nicer than the whole one before.

Baby Mo went quiet, then said softly, "Umi… why does the shared one taste even better?"

Umi smiled. "That's the secret, dear. When we share, we don't lose our happiness β€” it actually doubles. And Allah loves those who love to share. Giving never makes us less."

From that day on, whenever Baby Mo had something nice, his eyes searched for Baby Ais. Because he knew the secret now: sharing makes everything taste sweeter.

Wealth is never decreased by charity β€” giving only adds blessing.

Now, try the sharing experiment with your little one: split one snack between two. Ask, "Which one tasted better?" πŸͺπŸ’ž
