Story draft for the Baby Mo book
The Butterfly in Baby Ais's Hand

Baby Ais finally caught a yellow butterfly. She gripped it tight — too tight.
The yellow butterfly landed on a flower for a moment. Baby Ais crept closer, then — caught it!
"I got it! I want to keep her in my room," said Baby Ais, gripping the butterfly tight with both hands.
The butterfly's wings fluttered, trying to escape. Baby Ais gripped even tighter, afraid it would fly away.
Baby Mo, watching nearby, whispered, "Ais, look — her wings look like they might break."
Baby Ais loosened her grip a little. The butterfly's wings looked crumpled between her fingers.
She slowly opened her palm. The butterfly sat still for a moment, then flew off — slow at first, then higher, away toward the other flowers.
Baby Ais watched it go. "I guess she likes flying more than being held."
Baby Mo nodded. "Maybe when we love something, we should hold it gently."
Gentleness is not found in anything except that it beautifies it.
Now, when your little one catches a bug or small creature, help them hold it with open, gentle hands — then let it go together. 🦋
