Why Do We Ask Permission?

The little red car sat on the floor. Baby Ais was having milk in the kitchen.

Baby Mo saw it. He grabbed it fast. He didn't ask.

Baby Ais came back. "That's Ais's!" She cried loudly.

Baby Mo froze. He just stood there, holding the car tight.

Umi came over and simply said, "Mo, try asking Ais first."

Baby Mo looked at Baby Ais, still crying. He stepped closer. "Ais... may Mo borrow the car?"

Baby Ais stopped crying. She nodded. "Okay. But ask first, okay?"

They played together. Taking turns. Asking first before touching each other's toys.

It is not lawful for a Muslim to take his brother's wealth without his consent.
