A parent's dua for their child is a dua that is answered

Written by Tim Baby Mo

Meaning

Three duas are unmistakably answered: the dua of the oppressed, the dua of the traveler, and the dua of a parent for their child.

Narrator: Abu Hurairah

Note for parents

Every dua a parent makes for their child — in night prayer, in sujud, in the moment a hand rests on a child's head — reaches Allah. Conversely, words spoken in anger like 'you're a burden' can also be answered. This is why a parent's tongue is the heaviest trust.
