Dua When Boarding a Vehicle

Recited when boarding a car or motorbike with family — remembering that safety comes from Allah.

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ

Transliteration

Subhaanalladzii sakhkhara lanaa haadzaa wa maa kunnaa lahuu muqriniin

Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, when we could never have managed it ourselves.

Read by the child when boarding a vehicle — car, motorbike, train, or plane.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Read by the child when leaving home — to school, the mosque, or any trip. Teaches reliance on Allah from the door itself.
