The first thing a Muslim says upon waking is gratitude — that Allah has given life back for a new day. Baby Mo’s “Doa Bangun Tidur” song video teaches this beautiful habit early.
The dua upon waking
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
Alhamdulillāhilladzī aḥyānā ba‘da mā amātanā wa ilayhin-nusyūr
“All praise is for Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the return.”

Make it a morning routine
- Play it as your child wakes. Before screens, before breakfast — one short song to open the day.
- Pair it with the sleeping dua. Kids learn a beautiful cycle: sleep with bismillah, wake with alhamdulillah.
- Praise, don’t pressure. “MashaAllah, you remembered!” beats nagging.
