Once children know some hijaiyah letters, they often ask: "What words can these letters make?" Islamic Words answers that. Children drag Arabic letters one by one until they form a word — then hear how it's read.

21 words in three themes
- Family & home: Ummi, Abi, Akhi, Ukhti, Bayt (house), Maa' (water), Nawm (sleep)…
- Worship: Allah, Bismillah, Du'a, Masjid, Kitab, Salam, Shukran…
- Nature: Shams (sun), Qamar (moon), Najm (star), Zahrah (flower), Samak (fish), Tayr (bird)…
What it builds
- Recognising letter shapes inside words — not just on their own.
- A first Arabic vocabulary close to children's daily life.
- Listening and copying how each word is read.
How to play together
- Start with family: "Ummi" and "Abi" are the most fun words for children.
- When a word is done, say it together and point at the person: "Ummi!"
- Use the new words all day: "Let's drink some maa'!"
Tips for parents
- Make sure your child already knows some hijaiyah letters. See how to introduce hijaiyah letters.
- One theme a week is enough.
- Praise the effort of building, not the speed.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The best of you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it." (Bukhari 5027)
